Chocolate that doesn't take itself too seriously.
Doisy & Dam make good chocolate with a sense of humour. We made them a 60-second brand film that walks the line between cheeky and crafted — loud illustration, restrained typography, and a punchline at the end.
Be playful without being childish.
The chocolate category is crowded with two extremes: precious craft on one end and cartoon characters on the other. Doisy & Dam sit in the middle — their packaging is loud and graphic, but the chocolate itself is genuinely well-made.
The brief was to extend that contradiction into motion: a film that could be screened at a trade show without embarrassment and shared on TikTok without explanation.
Lean into the contradiction.
We designed a visual language that takes the existing packaging into the realm of slightly-too-much, then pulls back to slow, considered moments around the product itself. Bold flat-colour world, with the occasional photoreal chocolate beat to remind you what you're actually here for.
"It made us laugh in the screening, then made us want to eat chocolate. Mission accomplished."
The film became a recruitment tool, too.
The film delivered its launch brief comfortably — but it also did something we didn't expect: their head of talent says it's now the most-cited reason new hires give for applying. It became a culture artifact.
